Baltimore County Public Schools
A DIVERSITY RECRUITMENT memberWe enable students to construct their futures.
Baltimore County Public Schools is a large, suburban and diverse school district that serves more than 113,814 students. Our theory of action is to equip every student with the critical 21st century skills needed to be globally competitive. Members of Team BCPS believe that we must ensure that every school has an equitable learning environment and that every student has access to learning and developing proficiency in a second language.
Blueprint 2.0 … Our Way Forward
Baltimore County Public Schools begins a new chapter with Blueprint 2.0, a five-year strategic plan to build on the successes of the school system’s previous Blueprint for Progress. Created in collaboration with staff, students, parents, and other community leaders and stakeholders, Blueprint 2.0 addresses academics, safety, communication, and organizational effectiveness – four critical areas that must be addressed to ensure that BCPS becomes a world-class school system.
If you feel mission-driven about helping students make significant gains; if you would like to be an educator in a system that focuses on supporting your professional growth; if you would like to build your career, then we invite you to apply to join our team.
DIVERSITY & EQUITY
Equity and Cultural Proficiency
The Department of Equity and Cultural Proficiency (ECP) partners with stakeholders to create instructional environments that support academic rigor, access cultural relevance and relationships that ignite the potential of each and every student as the norm. ECP works to build the capacity of leaders to create inclusive environments that honor every students ability, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, socioeconomic status, language, and sexual orientation, thus ensuring every student is skilled and able to be globally competitive in a culturally rich society and macro economy.
Baltimore County Public Schools will be among the highest performing school systems in the nation as a result of creating, sustaining, and investing in excellence for every student, every school, and every community.
Raising Achievement & Closing Gaps
The ambitious plan provides focus as Team BCPS works to ensure that every student is prepared for his or her chosen college and/ or career path, and the plan facilitates the creation of a culture in which all members of Team BCPS recognize our commitment to the students of Baltimore County Public Schools and our responsibility to aim for excellence for ourselves and all of our students.
