Report to the Head of Lower School Lead teach a 2nd-grade class, including language arts, mathematics, and social studies Implement the school's social-emotional curriculum, which is based on the Responsive Classroom approach Provide a hands-on, inquiry-based style of teaching that exemplifies how student wellness, intellectual rigor, and a deep commitment to social impact and DEI are critical to the school's learning experience Effectively manage flexible, collaborative learning experiences with various sized groups of students Thoughtfully integrate technology into the curriculum Collaboratively design integrated, project-based experiences for the weekly block with colleagues Co-plan and co-teach with colleagues, including Resident Teachers, focusing on differentiated instruction Communicate student progress and needs with students' caregivers on a regular and as-needed basis Differentiate instruction for a range of learners by partnering with student support team members to effectively support and challenge each student at their "just right" level Continue to evolve best practices in line with the school's strategic priorities and in collaboration with school leadership Salary Range $77,500 - $140,000 Read more about this opening and become a CalWest candidate today!
