Description: Directs a high school student services program, including academic, college/career, and personal/social, counseling, career education, assessment and testing, social and academic adjustment, public relations activities, and students' records maintenance. Qualifications: Required Master's degree. Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in counseling or teaching. Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) in school counseling or in administration and supervision PreK-12. Knowledge of school counseling techniques, programs, and practices. Knowledge of adolescent psychology, growth, and development. Knowledge of principles and practices of the high school philosophy and current curriculum and instructional trends. Knowledge of master schedule development. Ability to assign, supervise, oversee, and evaluate a staff of school counselors and support personnel. Ability to gain the confidence of students, families, and professional staff and foster cooperation. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
