The Vice Principal supports the Principal as they plan, implement and direct the operational procedures and processes of the site, supports instructional goals and objectives and procedures for evaluating program effectiveness; supports staff development and staff training programs and activities; supports public community relations programs and is responsible for other related functions as directed.

Requires a valid California Administrator's credential and valid teaching/PPS credential; five (5) years of successful teaching/student support experience in a middle school environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (examples): Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of school organization, law, policy, programs and curricula; of public relations; of innovative practices; of the relationships of growth, development, and learning of school children and youth; ability to assess program climate and culture as the affect the learning environment; ability to work successfully with administrators, teachers, students and families.
